Job Description
**Job Title** Project Engineer II **Role Summary** Coordinate all technical activities for aircraft seat design and certification projects. Plan, schedule, and monitor engineering work to meet FAA/EASA regulations, customer specifications, and company standards, ensuring effective cross‑disciplinary communication and timely delivery. **Expectations** - Deliver design and certification tasks on schedule and within regulatory compliance. - Maintain clear, accurate documentation and reports for program management. - Foster collaboration with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues. - Support production sourcing and field modification initiatives through bills of materials and service bulletins. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead design and certification coordination for aircraft seats, integrating inputs from design, electrical, certification, and support engineers. - Plan, schedule, and track engineering tasks; provide status reports to Program and Engineering Management. - Translate customer requirements into design actions; loop back to stakeholders for confirmation. - Implement design changes to address customer concerns while ensuring regulatory compliance. - Organize interdisciplinary design meetings; record minutes and action items. - Draft and coordinate Service Bulletins with airworthiness authorities for fielded seat modifications. - Conduct root cause analyses on MRB actions; present solutions to Engineering, Quality, and Operations. - Interface with external suppliers during the design cycle. - Review material suitability using advanced knowledge of aerospace materials. - Monitor engineering capacity and plan workloads across projects. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in CATIA V5 (minimum 2 yrs experience). - Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and aircraft interior design. - Familiarity with CFR, EASA CS, (E)TSO regulations. - Experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Agile, Enovia). - Ability to manage and interpret complex parts lists and variant diversity. - Strong written and verbal communication for cross‑functional coordination. - Analytical skills for root cause analysis and problem solving. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). - Minimum 2–7 years of related experience. - Knowledge of aircraft documentation systems for after‑sales (CMM, SB) and configuration control. - Willingness to travel up to 25% (national and international).
