Job Title: Analyst, Real Estate – Private Equity
Role Summary:
Support senior investment professionals through all stages of the real estate investment lifecycle—from sourcing and evaluation to portfolio management—within a multinational investment organization.
Expactations:
• Deliver accurate, rigorous financial analysis and presentations for investment committees.
• Manage multiple transaction workstreams in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Apply strong analytical judgement and clear communication across internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and audit financial models (DCF, LBO, residuals, development appraisal, JV waterfalls, sensitivity analyses).
- Underwrite complex capital structures, evaluate debt options, develop hedging strategies, and facilitate debt package execution (term sheet to closing).
- Prepare investment committee materials and detailed presentation packs.
- Engage brokers, consultants, and partners to obtain transaction data and insights.
- Coordinate due diligence workstreams—legal, tax, technical, financial review.
- Screen opportunities against investment criteria and assist in origination.
- Conduct site visits and property inspections.
- Assist with quarterly/annual portfolio reporting, business plans, and reforecasting.
- Contribute to value‑creation planning and execution with operating partners.
- Monitor asset KPIs, ESG metrics, and sustainability performance.
- Perform market, sector, operator, and macro trend research to support investment theses.
- Maintain relationships with operating partners, brokers, and industry contacts.
Required Skills:
- Advanced financial modelling (DCF, LBO, debt structuring, JV waterfalls).
- Proficient Excel, PowerPoint, Word; strong quantitative analysis and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of real‑estate asset classes (office, residential, industrial, retail, alternatives).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and operate independently when required.
- Multilingual: fluent English and French; German or Spanish an asset.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum 2:1) in Finance, Economics, Real Estate or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in real‑estate private equity, investment banking, or a real‑estate investment platform.
- Knowledge of ESG and sustainability metrics within a real‑estate context.
