Job Description
**Job Title:** Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) **Role Summary:** Responsible for overseeing daily information system security operations, including audits, risk assessments, configuration management, and response to security events. Implements and maintains RMF controls using DISA STIGs and ensures compliance with DoD security requirements. **Expectations:** - Hold an active DoD Secret clearance. - 5‑10 years of experience in cyber security engineering/analysis, supply chain risk management, or related fields. - Conduct IS audits, investigations, and security event monitoring. - Apply RMF security controls and maintain documentation for hardware, software, and firmware. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform security audits of hardware, software, and system configurations. - Monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security incidents. - Manage configuration control for security‑related IS components. - Implement RMF controls per DISA STIG guidance. - Conduct risk assessments and supply chain risk management activities. - Provide technical support for system and network administration security aspects. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of operating system security requirements. - Hands‑on experience with industry‑standard Information Assurance tools. - Proficiency in IS auditing, investigations, and risk analysis. - Familiarity with system and network administration concepts. - Ability to document and maintain security configurations and controls. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline. - CompTIA Security+ certification. - CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification. - Active DoD Secret clearance.
