Job Description: **Job Title:** Senior Software Engineer **Role Summary** Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for quantum computer control software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate scientific and engineering solutions. **Expectations** - Lead backend service architecture for quantum computing systems. - Collaborate with scientists and engineers to deliver high-quality software. - Mentor junior engineers and uphold coding best practices. - Optimize control systems through innovative software methodologies. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop robust, scalable backend frameworks for quantum machine calibration and control. - Debug and support control systems from embedded kernels to distributed services. - Conduct code reviews and foster collaborative technical practices. - Integrate virtualization tools (e.g., Docker) and Linux-based solutions. - Advise interdisciplinary teams on software development standards. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in Python and a compiled language (e.g., Rust). - Experience with Linux, Docker, and software testing/debugging. - Strong software engineering practices: testing, version control, documentation, error-handling. - Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Physics-related field. - Minimum 5 years of prior software engineering experience in scientific or backend development.
