Job Description

Job title: Product Security Engineer Role Summary: Deliver technical security expertise to Meta’s product teams, conducting manual design and implementation reviews for web, mobile, and native products; guiding developers to prevent vulnerabilities; and building automated static/dynamic analysis pipelines and secure coding frameworks at scale. Expectations: Minimum 5 years of hands‑on vulnerability discovery and exploitation; deep knowledge of secure coding practices, exploitation techniques, and mitigations; strong scripting/ programming skills; ability to advise engineering and product stakeholders on security trade‑offs. Key Responsibilities: - Perform security reviews of Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, Portal, and other Meta products. - Provide developer education and guidance to mitigate code vulnerabilities. - Collaborate with software engineers to develop static and dynamic analysis automation. - Design and maintain secure coding frameworks that support enterprise‑wide scaling. Required Skills: - Vulnerability discovery and exploitation in interpreted languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Swift). - Secure coding best practices and mitigation techniques. - Familiarity with static and dynamic analysis tools. - Proficiency in scripting or programming in one or more general‑purpose languages. - Excellent communication for cross‑functional collaboration. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience. No mandatory certifications.
