Job Description

**Job Title:** Platform Engineer – HealthTech **Role Summary:** Remote contract engineer responsible for developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a HIPAA‑compliant healthtech platform. Ensures platform performance, infrastructure reliability, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. **Expactations:** - Deliver high‑quality code and infrastructure solutions on schedule. - Proactively identify and resolve performance, security, and compliance issues. - Communicate effectively with developers, product owners, and stakeholders. - Uphold data privacy and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA). **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop, test, and maintain application components and services. - Diagnose and resolve platform incidents, bugs, and performance bottlenecks. - Manage cloud/on‑premise infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and scaling. - Administer and optimize relational and/or NoSQL databases. - Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with health‑data regulations. - Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to define requirements and release plans. **Required Skills:** - Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. - Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#). - Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Solid understanding of database design, SQL, and/or NoSQL technologies. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork orientation. - HealthTech or regulated‑industry experience preferred. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus but not mandatory.
