Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Compliance Manager **Role Summary:** Senior Compliance Manager will lead and expand the firm’s compliance function, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement of policies and controls. The role includes overseeing client due‑diligence, training, and strategic project leadership within a small, collaborative team. **Expectations:** - Deliver immediate impact in a UK law‑firm compliance environment. - Maintain high standards of regulatory knowledge, including SRA, AML, cyber‑security, and anti‑bribery. - Act as a trusted deputy to the Director, guiding junior staff and shaping the compliance strategy. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop, implement, and refine compliance frameworks and internal controls. - Conduct and review client due‑diligence (CDD/KYC), including high‑risk sectors and SAR preparation. - Draft and update risk‑assessment policies and procedures, adapting to evolving regulations. - Provide firm‑wide training on compliance policies and risk management. - Supervise and mentor junior compliance staff. - Lead critical projects to enhance the firm’s compliance capabilities. - Support the strategic growth and development of the compliance function. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in a UK law‑firm setting. - Deep knowledge of Solicitors Regulation Authority standards and regulations. - Expertise in AML, anti‑bribery, data protection, cyber‑security, and related compliance issues. - Practical experience in CDD/KYC, high‑risk client onboarding, and SAR filing. - Proven ability to design, update, and implement policies, controls, and procedures. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. - Collaborative, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Qualified solicitor or equivalent legal qualification. - Professional compliance certification preferred (e.g., CCF, CAMS, or similar). ---
