Job Title: DevOps Manager
Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines on AWS, while managing and mentoring a high-performing DevOps team.
Expectations: Deliver rapid, reliable deployments; drive continuous improvement of automation and monitoring; proactively identify and resolve infrastructure and application issues; collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering teams; champion best practices and security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Design and implement AWS networking, VPC, Transit Gateway, and related services.
- Build, update, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes (GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab, Atlassian suite).
- Monitor systems, aggregate logs, analytics, and set up alerting and tracing for all services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, participate in on‑call rotations, and maintain runbooks.
- Mentor and lead DevOps engineers, promoting collaboration, automation, and excellence.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and review security reports.
- Develop proofs of concept to advance technology stack and maturity.
- Estimate development tasks, set timelines, and deliver business‑aligned outcomes.
Required Skills:
- ≥8 years in DevOps, operations, or software engineering.
- ≥6 years managing AWS cloud platforms.
- ≥3 years leading DevOps teams.
- Proficient scripting (Python, Bash, Node.js).
- 4–5 years with Terraform (preferred) or equivalent IaC.
- Strong networking, Linux administration, and Docker/Container orchestration experience.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services: EC2, ELB, VPC, Transit Gateway, ECS, EKS, RDS, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, MSK, DynamoDB, Route53, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms and enterprise troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with at least one compiled language (Java, C#).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Terraform Associate, or similar) preferred.
