Job Title: Senior Data Manager
Role Summary: Lead the end‑to‑end enterprise data lifecycle by acquiring, cleansing, transforming, storing, and safeguarding data from internal and external sources. Design and implement data architectures, pipelines, and governance policies that enable reliable, timely data for business analysis and reporting across cloud and on‑premises platforms.
Expectations: Self‑motivated and deadline‑oriented leader who manages multiple priorities, maintains confidentiality, collaborates with business and IT stakeholders, drives process improvements, and communicates insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire, validate, transform, load, and maintain datasets using ETL tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks).
- Design and develop ETL solutions, stored procedures, dynamic SQL, and dimensional data models in a SQL environment (SSMS, SSIS).
- Build and govern data pipelines, data warehouses, data lakes, and modern BI architectures (Azure Synapse, Snowflake).
- Create Power BI dashboards, visualizations, and analyze data to derive actionable business insights.
- Lead projects through design, coding, review, deployment, and documentation, ensuring on‑time, within‑scope delivery.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and provide solutions for data or business issues.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to capture and align data requirements.
- Ensure data security, governance, and privacy compliance (PHI/HIPAA protection).
- Present project progress and analytical findings to stakeholders and clients.
- Identify and recommend automation and process improvement opportunities.
Required Skills:
- ≥7 years technical experience in data analysis and ETL development.
- Proficient with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Strong SQL skills: SSMS, SSIS, dynamic SQL, and stored procedure development.
- Cloud data expertise: Azure Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, or equivalent.
- Dimensional modeling and data warehouse design knowledge.
- Experience with data architecture, data lakes, and modern BI concepts.
- Root‑cause analysis, problem‑solving, and process documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; presentation proficiency.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, or similar are advantageous.
