Job Description
**Job Title:** Technical Service Assistant (Technical Monitoring) **Role Summary:** Provide on‑site technical monitoring and first‑level assistance for paint‑shop operations, acting as the primary technical interface with customers. Ensure safety compliance, support product application, conduct validation tests, analyze and resolve product defects, and drive continuous improvement of technical support services. **Expectations:** - Minimum 3 years in a similar technical service or paint‑shop support role. - Fluency in French (required) and English at B2 level or higher. - Strong communication and proactive attitude. - Automotive industry experience preferred. **Key Responsibilities:** - Enforce site safety instructions and protocols. - Serve as technical liaison for customers in the paint shop. - Advise and monitor customers on product application parameters. - Conduct validation tests for new products. - Record and manage quality‑incident data. - Periodically verify robot and equipment parameters. - Provide first‑level assistance on the paint‑shop line and participate in production meetings. - Monitor production programs, trigger batch production, and track progress. - Analyze root causes of product defects and implement corrective actions on the line. - Ensure timely communication between customer and Axalta, especially during malfunctions. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for technical assistance. **Required Skills:** - Technical knowledge of coating/paint processes and equipment. - Ability to monitor and adjust application parameters. - Problem‑solving and defect‑analysis capabilities. - Proficient in incident‑tracking databases. - Strong interpersonal and empathy skills for customer interaction. - Effective written and verbal communication in French and English. - Proactive, detail‑oriented, and safety‑focused mindset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Relevant technical or vocational education in coatings, chemistry, mechanical engineering, or a related field (preferred). - No specific certifications listed; industry experience substitutes for formal credentials.
