Job Title: Account Executive, Media Sales
Role Summary:
Drive the full sales cycle for advertising and sponsorship deals across web, live and virtual events, and continuing education programs. Develop tailored sponsorship packages, secure new business, and grow recurring revenue while collaborating with content, marketing, and leadership teams.
Expectations:
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets and renewal KPIs.
- Build and maintain a steady pipeline of healthcare-focused advertisers and sponsors.
- Deliver persuasive proposals that demonstrate reach, engagement, and ROI.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and participate in annual revenue planning.
- Stay informed about healthcare market trends and competing media offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close sponsorship and advertising deals.
- Lead evolution of advertising and sponsorship strategy across all media assets.
- Create custom sponsorship packages aligned with editorial themes, event calendars, and audience segments.
- Draft compelling proposals highlighting audience reach, engagement, and credibility.
- Drive revenue for live/virtual events, including panels, summits, and accredited education campaigns.
- Maintain robust pipeline of prospects and manage relationships with carriers, agencies, and medical industry stakeholders.
- Report sales performance, forecast revenue, and collaborate on planning with leadership.
- Represent company at industry conferences, cultivating media brand relationships.
Required Skills:
- 2–3+ years in media sales, event sponsorship, or B2B marketing.
- Proven ability to close high‑value digital media and sponsorship deals.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
- Self‑motivated, entrepreneurial mindset, thriving in high‑growth environments.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.
- Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with marketing and content teams.
- Knowledge of integrated media strategies (newsletters, webinars, native content, in‑person events).
- Familiarity with healthcare landscape (pharma, medtech, health IT) is an asset.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
- Additional training or certification in healthcare marketing is a plus.
