Job Description
Job title: Cyber Security Consultant Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain a DoDI 8510.01-compliant cybersecurity program for space‑related Major Defense Acquisition Programs. Collaborate with Cyber Leads, ISSM, ISSO, and System Delta stakeholders to prioritize and execute cyber integration tasks, develop processes, and support system authorization. Expactations: Must hold Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and required DoD ITA Level‑2 certifications (Information Assurance Technician Level 2 and Information Assurance Manager Level 2). CISSP is preferred. Demonstrated experience developing and validating security controls for complex defense systems, conducting risk analysis, and facilitating System Delta integration. Key Responsibilities: - Engineer, implement, and sustain cybersecurity controls per DoDI 8510.01 and the DoD Cybersecurity Test & Evaluation Guidebook on space, ground, software, and hardware systems. - Work with Cyber Leads, ISSM, ISSO team to identify priorities, conduct security impact analyses, validate controls, and perform critical path cyber integration. - Assist the System Delta Cyber Lead in developing documentation, processes, and tools for tracking cyber work and supporting system authorization or accreditation. - Coordinate with System Delta stakeholders to develop, review, and codify cyber documentation for authorization packages. - Analyze System Delta requirements, processes, and controls to align with security controls for authorization package development. - Conduct security impact, trade‑off, and risk analyses related to cyber requirements to inform program management and systems engineering decisions. Required Skills: - In‑depth knowledge of DoDI 8510.01, DoD Cybersecurity Test & Evaluation Guidebook, and relevant defense acquisition processes. - Expertise in systems security engineering, security impact analysis, risk assessment, and authorization documentation. - Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder coordination abilities. - Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and frameworks applicable to space‑related systems. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline. - Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. - Information Assurance Technician Level 2 and Information Assurance Manager Level 2 certifications (DoD Directive 8570.01‑M). CISSP certification is recommended.
