**Job Title**: Human Resources Manager **Role Summary**: Lead all HR functions in a manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with labor laws, union agreements, and company policies. Manage recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, disability claims, and continuous improvement initiatives. **Expectations**: - Deliver effective HR strategies that align with business goals. - Maintain a positive, inclusive workplace culture and high employee engagement. - Provide timely, data‑driven HR support to management and staff. **Key Responsibilities**: - Oversee recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and retention programs. - Manage employee orientation and integration into company culture. - Administer benefits, payroll (Ceridian Dayforce preferred), and occupational/non‑occupational disability claims, accommodations, and return‑to‑work plans. - Conduct performance management, attendance, and grievance handling processes. - Ensure compliance with labor legislation, collective agreements, and health & safety regulations. - Represent the company in union negotiations, legal proceedings, and WSIB tribunals. - Lead investigations into employee complaints and HR policy violations. - Develop, evaluate, and update HR policies and programs. - Produce regular HR analytics for decision‑making. - Supervise, coach, and evaluate two direct reports, establishing departmental goals. - Collaborate with management on strategic workforce planning and continuous improvement. **Required Skills**: - HR strategy and policy development. - Talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention. - Performance management and employee relations. - Labor law knowledge and union relationship management. - Benefits administration and payroll systems (Ceridian Dayforce). - Disability claims and accommodations management. - Conflict resolution and problem‑solving. - Project management and delegation. - Strong written and verbal communication. - Proficiency in HRIS, MS Office, and data analysis. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Post‑secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. - HR certification (CHRP, CHRL, or equivalent) preferred. - Valid driver’s licence with reliable transportation.
