Job Description
**Job Title:** Application Support Analyst **Role Summary:** Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for healthcare database applications. Collaborate with developers, end‑users, and stakeholders to ensure reliable data systems that enhance patient care. **Expectations:** - Resolve application incidents within agreed SLAs. - Identify root causes, implement fixes, and document solutions. - Participate in system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes. - Ensure data integrity, performance, and security compliance. - Communicate status updates to users and management. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Monitor application health and respond to alerts. 2. Diagnose and troubleshoot software, database, and integration issues. 3. Log incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and document work in a ticketing system. 4. Coordinate with development teams for bug fixes and feature enhancements. 5. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. 6. Deploy patches, updates, and configuration changes in test and production environments. 7. Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for database resources. 8. Produce regular reports on incidents, trends, and improvement initiatives. 9. Provide user training and support documentation. 10. Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL, Oracle, SQL Server). - Experience with application support and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, Zendesk). - Familiarity with healthcare IT standards and data security practices. - Ability to analyze logs and trace application flows. - Good communication skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. - Problem‑solving and analytical mindset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Certified Professional, CompTIA Security+). - Prior experience in a healthcare IT support role is highly desirable.
