Job Description
**Job Title:** Postdoctoral Researcher in Computer Science **Role Summary:** Conduct 18‑month research on building and exploiting explainable knowledge graphs for professional skills to support strategic talent‑management decisions in both public and private sectors. Work within an interdisciplinary academic–industry partnership, applying semantic web, machine learning, and automated reasoning techniques. **Expectations:** - Doctoral degree in computer science with expertise in knowledge representation, decision‑support AI, and machine learning. - Demonstrated research productivity, strong scientific writing, and independent project ownership. - Team‑oriented, autonomous, organized, and proficient in programming. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain a semantic knowledge graph linking skills, occupations, and training pathways. - Develop and evaluate reasoning, inference, and multi‑criteria optimization algorithms for personalized recommendations. - Integrate semantic web, RDF/OWL, SPARQL, and graph database technologies (Neo4j, BlazeGraph, RDF4J) with ML frameworks (Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch). - Conduct experiments, analyze results, author peer‑reviewed publications and technical reports. - Translate research into operational solutions in collaboration with academic and industry partners. - Mentor graduate students or research assistants. - Present findings at conferences, workshops, and project meetings. **Required Skills:** - Advanced programming in Python, Java, or Scala; experience with graph databases and RDFlike storage. - Proficiency in knowledge representation (RDF/OWL), ontology engineering, and ontology‑driven data integration. - Strong background in machine learning, recommendation systems, and decision‑support algorithms. - Familiarity with automated reasoning engines (SWRL, rule‑based inference). - Excellent scientific writing, documentation, and communication. - Project management, teamwork, and organizational competence. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Engineering, or a closely related discipline. - Certifications in advanced AI or knowledge‑graph technologies are a plus but not mandatory.
