Job Description
Job Title: Atlassian Systems Administrator Role Summary: Administer, configure, and optimize Atlassian Jira and Confluence to support agile project management, ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and integration with enterprise applications. Provide user support, training, and documentation, and manage system upgrades and patches. Expectations: - Deliver reliable, secure Atlassian environments that meet business and compliance requirements. - Collaborate with project teams to design workflows, dashboards, and reports. - Continuously improve system performance and user experience through best‑practice governance. Key Responsibilities: - Deploy, configure, and maintain Jira and Confluence for agile teams. - Design and implement custom fields, workflows, dashboards, and reporting solutions. - Integrate Atlassian tools with other enterprise systems via REST APIs, Groovy scripts, PowerShell, etc. - Monitor system health, troubleshoot performance issues, and apply patches and upgrades. - Enforce security, compliance, and governance policies across all Atlassian environments. - Provide user support, conduct training sessions, and create documentation and knowledge bases. - Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains. Required Skills: - Proven experience as an Atlassian Administrator (Jira & Confluence). - Strong understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). - Experience with Jira Service Management, Advanced Roadmaps, and marketplace add‑ons (optional). - Scripting/automation proficiency (Groovy, REST, PowerShell). - Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation abilities. - Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Atlassian certifications (ACP‑100, ACP‑200) strongly preferred. - Experience with both cloud and on‑premise Atlassian environments. - Knowledge of ITIL practices and enterprise service management is a plus.
