Job Description
**Job Title:** Utility‑Scale Renewables Site Design Intern **Role Summary:** Assist in the design of large‑scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects across North America. Apply engineering and software skills to develop site design inputs, verify criteria, and support documentation for grid‑scale renewable energy projects. **Expectations:** - Develop practical site‑design expertise under the guidance of experienced professionals. - Gain exposure to renewable energy policy and project development processes. - Complete the internship period (February – May 2026) with regular progress reports and deliverables. **Key Responsibilities:** - Draft and modify layout plans using AutoCAD and related CAD tools. - Generate and evaluate site design inputs, constraints, and verification data. - Create and maintain design templates, reports, and documentation. - Operate PV simulation and analysis software (Pvsyst, Sift, PVCase, or equivalents). - Build and run Excel macros, VBA scripts, and Python scripts for data processing and automation. - Present findings and design proposals to cross‑functional teams. - Collaborate with electrical, civil, and mechanical engineering colleagues to integrate design elements. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in AutoCAD. - Direct experience with wind or solar site design. - Familiarity with PV analytical tools (Pvsyst, Sift, PVCase, etc.). - Advanced Excel skills, including macros and VBA. - Python scripting experience. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Clear oral and written communication skills. - Ability to present ideas professionally and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Junior or senior undergraduate student, or graduate student, pursuing a degree in civil, electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline. ---
