Job Description

**Job title**: Information Technology Support Engineer **Role Summary**: Provide remote, ticket‑driven support across the UK for a cyber‑focused managed service desk. Resolve endpoint, network, and identity issues, administer Microsoft 365 and security tools, and improve support processes. **Expectations**: - Deliver first‑line (L1) and escalation (L2) support in a fast‑growth environment. - Maintain a security‑first mindset and stay current on cyber threats. - Collaborate with a knowledge‑sharing team and contribute to documentation. - Progress to Senior Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Cyber Specialist, Team Lead, or Technical Trainer roles. **Key Responsibilities**: - Triage and manage incoming support tickets (e.g., halo, PSA). - Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 endpoints, VPN, Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP, and basic networking. - Configure new user accounts, deletions, and policy changes via Intune/Active Directory. - Handle identity and access management with Azure AD / Entra ID. - Implement patching, packaging, and release updates. - Oversee client onboarding, backups, and recovery procedures. - Update and maintain internal knowledge‑base articles and ticketing workflows. - Communicate clearly and confidently with customers and team members. **Required Skills**: - Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. - Proficiency with Windows desktop support (10/11). - Experience using remote management tools (RMM, Intune). - Fundamental networking knowledge (VPN, Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP). - Familiarity with ticketing systems (ITSM, PSA). - Security‑first mindset; awareness of current malware, phishing, and attack trends. - Excellent written and verbal communication. **Nice to Have**: - Microsoft 365 administration experience. - PowerShell scripting. - Exposure to EDR/MDR solutions. - IT documentation writing. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Minimum of 2–3 years of IT support experience or equivalent. - High school diploma or equivalent; IT diploma/degree preferred. - Microsoft Certifications (MS‑900, MS‑100) beneficial but not mandatory.
