Job Description
**Job Title:** Quality Assurance Analyst **Role Summary:** Ensures the quality and functionality of software products by designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test plans. Works within an Agile IT team to validate features, detect defects, and guarantee releases meet standards across multiple platforms and environments. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate functional, regression, integration, and system testing. - Create and run SQL‑based data validation scripts. - Track, prioritize, and verify defect resolution using Jira. - Maintain clear test documentation in Confluence. - Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and process improvement initiatives. - Operate autonomously while collaborating with developers, product owners, and stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop, execute, and update detailed test plans, cases, and scripts from business and technical requirements. - Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing across web, mobile, and cloud platforms. - Write and execute SQL queries to validate back‑end data and processes. - Log, track, and retest defects in Jira; ensure timely closure. - Document testing activities, results, and knowledge base articles in Confluence. - Contribute to sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and other Agile events. - Identify gaps in QA processes and propose enhancements to improve efficiency and coverage. - Verify that all software releases meet defined quality criteria before deployment. **Required Skills:** - 4+ years of software QA experience with functional, regression, integration, and system testing. - Proficiency in SQL for data‑driven testing. - Strong command of Jira (defect tracking, Agile project management). - Experience with Confluence for documentation and collaboration. - Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Scrum teams. - Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities. - Self‑motivated, accountable, and capable of independent work. - Effective verbal and written communication for cross‑functional collaboration. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - No specific certifications required; relevant QA or Agile certifications are a plus.
