**Job Title**
Linux Engineer / Administrator (Ansible, Kubernetes)
**Role Summary**
Responsible for designing, maintaining, and securing Linux‑based infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance for enterprise users. Acts as a subject‑matter expert for system operations, incident resolution (Level 2/3), automation, and continuous improvement, while collaborating with development, support, and security teams.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 3 + years of experience in Linux system administration or engineering.
- Proven ability to manage production‑grade environments, handle complex incidents, and implement automation (Ansible, Kubernetes).
- Strong adherence to ITSM processes, patch management, and information security policies.
- Proactive technical watch‑list and continuous improvement mindset.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate and maintain Linux infrastructure in both corrective and preventive modes.
- Provide Level 3 support for incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and ensure timely ticket closure in ITSM.
- Design, implement, and document automation workflows using Ansible and Kubernetes (including CI/CD pipelines, DNS services, and data platform integration).
- Conduct performance monitoring, capacity planning, and system tuning.
- Create and keep up‑to‑date technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Manage patch cycles and security updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate with development, support, and operations teams to align infrastructure with application needs.
- Execute regular security controls as defined by the Information Security Officer.
- Drive integration, industrialization, and automation processes across the environment.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu).
- Proficiency with Ansible (playbooks, roles, vault) and Kubernetes (cluster deployment, Helm, CI/CD integration).
- Strong troubleshooting for Level 2/3 incidents, including networking (N2/N3) and storage.
- Experience with ITSM tools, ticket management, and change/patch management.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Scripting/automation languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Excellent documentation and communication skills; ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Ability to conduct technology watch and propose architectural enhancements.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Preferred certifications: Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC‑2/3) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Ansible Automation Platform certification.
