Expactations: 12‑month contract, £800/day, inside IR35, remote work; requires active SC clearance (DV clearance desirable). Key Responsibilities: • Implement, configure, and optimise Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana environments for performance, security, and scalability. • Design and deploy highly‑available, fault‑tolerant Elastic solutions meeting business requirements. • Provide ongoing support: troubleshoot performance issues, conduct RCA, and resolve incidents. • Develop automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance. • Implement security best practices: user access control, data encryption, audit logging. • Collaborate with dev, infra, and ops teams to integrate Elastic with other systems. • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. • Monitor industry trends and contribute continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills: • Elastic Certified Engineer or equivalent certification. • Proven experience deploying, managing, and optimising Elastic Stack in production. • Expertise in Elastic Stack monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning. • Proficient scripting in Python, Bash, or similar. • Familiarity with AWS, Azure or other cloud platforms and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes). • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities for complex technical issues. • Knowledge of security best practices for sensitive data and government compliance. • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring/logging solutions. • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • Prior work in public sector or large‑scale high‑compliance environments. Required Education & Certifications: • Elastic Certified Engineer (or equivalent). • Active SC security clearance (DV clearance desirable).
