Job Description: **Job Title** Purview Software Engineer **Role Summary** Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Purview solutions across an enterprise to ensure data protection, governance, and compliance. Leverage Azure architecture, perform diagnostics, incident response, and automation to optimize security and operational efficiency. **Expectations** - Deliver enterprise‑wide Purview deployment with minimal downtime. - Consistently meet security and compliance standards. - Communicate findings and recommendations to cross‑functional teams. **Key Responsibilities** - Implement and configure Microsoft Purview for data protection, cataloging, and governance. - Conduct diagnostic assessments to analyze data flows, detect threats, and identify vulnerabilities. - Lead incident response: investigate, contain, and remediate security events and data breaches. - Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to design secure Azure networks, manage resource groups, and provision infrastructure. - Optimize cost metrics, log analytics, and Azure alerts for scalable cloud operations. - Automate security and operational processes to improve performance and efficiency. - Apply best practices to maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations. **Required Skills** - 8+ years of Microsoft Purview software engineering experience. - 5+ years of recent Azure and Azure‑related application experience. - Proficiency in data governance, data cataloging, and cybersecurity applications. - Strong diagnostic, incident‑response, and threat‑detection skills. - Experience with Azure resource management, cost optimization, and automation tools. - Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration abilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. - (Optional) Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-305) and Java certifications. - (Optional) Experience migrating background in Big Data and Data Science environments and AI Agents for data discovery or threat detection.
