Job title: Director of Data Project Portfolio – Health Insurance
Role Summary:
Lead and govern a portfolio of cross‑functional data initiatives within the Health Insurance domain, ensuring strategic alignment, governance, and delivery of data solutions from conception to operationalization.
Expectations:
- Drive the data strategy roadmap in close collaboration with business units and IT architecture.
- Represent the Data Office in governance forums and influence cross‑departmental data priorities.
- Directly oversee selected data and data‑AI projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the Data Office in governance bodies (COPIL, architecture committees) and champion data‑driven decision making.
- Develop, monitor, and execute the data roadmap in partnership with business leaders and the ICT Directorate (DDSI).
- Structure, update, and manage the Health Insurance data project portfolio; conduct portfolio reviews and report to senior management.
- Identify and scope strategic data initiatives, prioritizing projects with architects and DDSI data teams.
- Lead chosen data or data‑AI projects through definition, planning, execution, and scale‑up, working with business stakeholders.
- Coordinate data project managers, business analysts, architects, developers, data scientists, and security/legal experts.
- Define and roll out the data technology offering and data products; support business adoption and promote data governance best‑practice.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Health Insurance data platforms and infrastructures.
Required Skills:
- Mastery of data governance, data modeling, and data architecture concepts.
- Proven experience leading complex, trans‑disciplinary projects and managing project teams.
- Expertise in agile project management methodologies.
- Strategic vision for data initiatives, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; adept at working with a range of stakeholders (business, IT, legal, security).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Minimum 5 years of higher education (Engineering, University, Project Management).
- Ten (10) years of experience in steering large‑scale data or IT projects, preferably within a health insurance or similar regulated context.
- Familiarity with Health Insurance reference frameworks and key IT systems (billing, communication, customer relations, decision‑support).
- Relevant certifications in data governance, data analytics, or agile project management (e.g., CDO, PMP, SAFe, Certified Data Professional) are desirable.
