Job Description
Job title Data and Insight Analyst (Projects / Change) Role Summary Provide data‑driven analysis, reporting, and visual storytelling to support enterprise change initiatives and senior portfolio governance, enabling evidence‑based decision‑making and performance optimisation. Expectations - Deliver high quality, actionable insights that influence change delivery outcomes. - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and articulate thematic findings. - Maintain rigorous monitoring of KPIs and resource trends to recommend improvements. - Ensure financial alignment through budget forecasting and expenditure oversight. - Mentor peers to elevate data literacy and foster continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and Excel models for portfolio performance and resource management. - Produce accurate, timely reporting for governance meetings, including trend analysis and variance explanations. - Analyse programme and project controls to identify risks, issues, and dependencies, proposing mitigation actions. - Support budget forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting aligned with departmental objectives. - Coach colleagues on data tools and analytical techniques, promoting a data‑driven culture. - Communicate insights clearly via written reports and verbal presentations to executive stakeholders. Required Skills - Advanced proficiency in Power BI (data modelling, DAX, visualisation) and Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas). - Strong analytical mindset, capable of handling large datasets and extracting meaningful insights. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling through data. - Problem‑solving acumen and ability to recommend actionable solutions. - Collaborative, cross‑functional approach with influence capability. - Knowledge of project, programme, portfolio or PMO concepts is desirable. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Finance, or a related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Power BI Certification) are preferred.
