Job Description: Job Title: SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER Role Summary: Lead the quality assurance of both embedded and non‑embedded software products. Collaborate with product managers and developers to design and execute comprehensive test plans, report defects, and drive continuous improvement of testing practices. Expectations: - 5+ years hands‑on software testing experience. - 3+ years QA automation with Selenium & Python. - 2+ years test planning, case development, and analysis. - 2+ years Agile development exposure. - 2+ years CI/CD and Jira experience. - Ability to obtain Canadian Reliability Clearance. Key Responsibilities: - Own overall software quality for all product lines. - Define and prioritize test cases in collaboration with product and development teams. - Execute functional, regression, and load tests; log defects with severity and priority. - Conduct regression and load testing after code changes and bug fixes. - Communicate findings and issue status to developers and product managers. - Promote and mentor best QA practices and continuous improvement. Required Skills: - QA automation tools: Selenium, Python. - Testing frameworks and CI/CD pipeline tools. - Issue tracking: Jira. - Performance & monitoring tools: JMeter, BrowserStack, Postman. - Strong ownership, bias for action, and effective written communication. Required Education & Certifications: - Canadian Reliability Clearance (obtainable). - No specific degree or certification required.
