Job Description
Job title: Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS) Role Summary: Design, implement, monitor, and optimize secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure for production environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency while maintaining compliance with security and regulatory standards. Expactations: Deliver reliable cloud solutions, automate deployment pipelines, collaborate with cross‑functional DevOps and IT teams, document best practices, and continuously evaluate and adopt new AWS services and tools. Key Responsibilities: - Deploy, configure, and maintain core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, ELB, IAM). - Provision, scale, and tune resources using IaC (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform). - Automate operational tasks with Python or Bash scripts. - Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting via CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config. - Optimize costs with Reserved Instances, Spot Instances, and utilization analysis. - Enforce security best practices: IAM, Security Groups, NACLs, encryption, Landing Zone, Control Tower. - Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. - Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing. - Support CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git) and integrate cloud services into DevOps workflows. Required Skills: - 4+ years of production AWS cloud administration and troubleshooting. - Proficiency with EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, Control Tower. - Strong IaC experience (CloudFormation, Terraform). - Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail). - Secure cloud design and implementation. - Scripting in Python or Bash. - Docker and Kubernetes knowledge (preferred). - Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (preferred). - Additional DevOps certifications (Jenkins, Git, CI/CD) desirable.
