**Job Title** Internal Salesperson **Role Summary** Drive sales of building supplies and timber products to a portfolio of 50+ customers within a builder’s merchant environment. Provide expert product advice and service across face‑to‑face and telephone interactions, maintaining strong customer relationships and achieving sales targets. **Expectations** - Meet or exceed monthly/annual sales quotas. - Maintain accurate, updated customer records in the CRM. - Generate new business from existing and prospective accounts. - Deliver professional, solution‑focused service that enhances customer satisfaction. **Key Responsibilities** - Prepare, deliver, and follow up on quotations for customers. - Conduct face‑to‑face and telephone sales conversations, offering product recommendations and upsell opportunities. - Perform gap analysis and upsell to existing customers. - Execute cold‑calling and lead qualification to secure new opportunities. - Manage quote follow‑ups and close sales within agreed timeframes. - Utilize CRM to track sales pipeline, customer interactions, and performance metrics. **Required Skills** - Proven sales experience within a builder’s or timber merchant environment. - Strong product knowledge of building materials, plumbing/heating, and timber. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and telephone etiquette. - Ability to build and sustain customer relationships. - Proactive, self‑driven attitude with a positive outlook. - Comfortable using CRM software and general computer literacy. **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum equivalent to a high‑school diploma or A‑levels. - Relevant sales certification or training preferred but not mandatory.
