Job Description
Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain highly available cloud and orchestration infrastructure for data‑intensive services and machine learning workloads. Build secure CI/CD pipelines, manage IaC, internal tooling, monitoring, and incident response across multiple teams, while mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical direction. Expectations: Deliver scalable, secure cloud solutions on major CSPs; orchestrate containers with Kubernetes/OpenShift; maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD); develop internal automation and DevSecOps practices; provide day‑to‑day operations, security, and incident response; collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders; continuously grow technical expertise and act as subject‑matter expert. Key Responsibilities: • Design and deploy highly available, scalable infrastructure on Azure, GCP, or AWS. • Implement and manage IaC using Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane, or CSP‑specific templates. • Deploy and manage container orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift) and Docker environments. • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that scale across teams, leveraging GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, etc. • Develop internal tooling, automation, and processes to improve DevSecOps. • Design, deploy, and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK). • Perform daily operational duties, security functions, and incident triage/response. • Lead technical reviews, mentor peers, and influence consensus. • Collaborate with product owners to deliver business goals. Required Skills: • Cloud computing expertise (Azure, GCP, AWS). • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane). • Container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift). • CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD). • Docker and containerization tools. • Linux operating system administration. • Monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK). • Networking fundamentals. • Cybersecurity fundamentals (information, application, data, network, identity). • Algorithms and software engineering principles. • Programming in Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript. • Incident response, triage, and cross‑functional coordination. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer are advantageous.
