**Job title:** Business Analyst
**Role Summary:**
Act as the liaison between the Information Technology Services Division and business units on large, complex projects. Elicit, document, and validate requirements, ensure alignment to department goals, and champion solutions through education and change leadership.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑quality requirements documentation and stakeholder communication.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.
- Facilitate change adoption and maintain solution integrity.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements in accordance with BABOK standards.
2. Validate solutions against departmental objectives and ensure compliance with tax policies and Lean Six Sigma principles.
3. Coordinate with development teams (TFS, Azure DevOps) to translate requirements into technical design, test plans, and user acceptance criteria.
4. Lead and facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and training sessions for solution adoption.
5. Track project progress, manage risks, and maintain project documentation.
6. Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying data‑driven analysis and process modeling.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced verbal, written, and listening communication.
- Strong organization, time‑management, and multitasking in high‑pressure environments.
- Effective negotiation, elicitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Project leadership to keep timelines on track.
- Proficiency with Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive), TFS, and Azure DevOps.
- Analytical abilities to collect, classify, synthesize data, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Analytics, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum six years of business analysis and/or project management experience.
- Knowledge of BABOK, software development life cycle, tax procedures, and Lean Six Sigma.
- PMI certification and Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
