Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Java Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain complex Java‑based applications using Spring Boot, delivering high‑quality, scalable solutions while guiding less‑experienced team members and ensuring alignment with project goals and technical standards. **Expectations:** - Minimum 9 years of professional experience in Java/Spring Boot development. - Proven ability to lead technical aspects of medium to large projects and mentor junior staff. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, including presentation to stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct full‑life‑cycle systems analysis, design, coding, testing, and debugging of Java applications. - Serve as an individual contributor on complex projects and oversee development tasks for junior resources. - Prepare and manage technical components of project plans, including specifications, test data, and documentation. - Collaborate with development, operations, and technology teams from technical analysis through user acceptance testing. - Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with Oracle databases. - Produce technical diagrams, charts, and documentation to support problem analysis and solution design. **Required Skills:** - Java (Java 21) and Spring Boot (v4.0) development. - Deep knowledge of the Spring framework and REST API design. - Oracle database experience (SQL, PL/SQL). - Ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously. - Strong verbal and written communication; experience presenting technical concepts. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Associate degree **or** equivalent experience, **plus** at least 9 years of systems analysis/application development experience (minimum 11 years total education/work experience). - No specific certifications required, though relevant Java/Spring certifications are a plus.
