Job title: Senior Network Security Engineer
Role Summary: Provide expert-level BAU support for multi‑vendor firewall and network environments, manage incidents, patching, and monitoring within a 24/7 shift team, act as a senior escalation point, and drive operational improvements and tooling.
Expatations: Must handle high‑priority incidents, meet SLA targets, lead change management activities, mentor team members, and maintain a deep technical knowledge of network security tools and routing protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands‑on day‑to‑day support for FortiGate, Palo Alto, Juniper, and Cisco firewall environments.
- Manage incident tickets, request fulfillment, patch cycles, and event monitoring for a 24/7 shift team.
- Serve as the senior escalation contact, ensuring timely resolution of security and network issues.
- Lead change initiatives: plan, document, and engage CAB/TAB processes.
- Mentor junior engineers, uphold service quality standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Own major operational improvement projects, evaluating and implementing new tools and compliance measures.
Required Skills:
- Experience with at least two major firewall vendors (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco).
- Strong networking foundation (OSC, OSPF, BGP, SD‑WAN).
- Operational support experience: BAU, configuration management, troubleshooting.
- Ability to work within a structured 24/7 environment, adhere to documented processes, and meet clear SLA metrics.
- Good communication skills, ability to produce clear documentation, and drive change initiatives.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications preferred: CCNA/CCNP, PaloAlto PA-900/PA-800, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, Fortinet NSE 4/5, CompTIA Security+.
- Continuous professional development in network security technologies and practices.
