**Job Title**
Senior DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary**
Lead end‑to‑end design, build, and maintenance of a secure, scalable AWS‑based infrastructure for a financial services platform. Drive automation, Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD, and observability while ensuring regulatory compliance and exploring AI/LLM integration opportunities.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑performance, resilient cloud environments under strict compliance.
- Influence technology strategy and architecture from inception.
- Mentor peers and propagate best practices across DevOps and platform teams.
- Rapidly prototype and validate emerging technologies (AI/LLM, observability).
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect, provision, and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ECS/EKS).
- Deploy and scale Kubernetes clusters, configure networking, service mesh, and monitoring.
- Create and maintain IaC using Terraform, Python scripts, and configuration management tools.
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.) and enforce GitOps principles.
- Implement observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) for performance, alerting, and security.
- Apply networking best practices (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, firewalls) to optimize throughput and security.
- Ensure adherence to financial services regulations, internal security policies, and resilience standards.
- Evaluate and prototype AI/LLM solutions to enhance automation and operational efficiency.
**Required Skills**
- AWS: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch.
- Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
- Kubernetes: deployment, scaling, networking, monitoring.
- Python scripting for automation and tooling.
- IaC: Terraform (mandatory), plus experience with Ansible or similar.
- CI/CD tooling: GitLab CI/C*, Jenkins, Cloud Build, etc.
- Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs.
- Security & compliance: SOC, ISO, PCI, or equivalent financial services familiarity.
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
**Desirable Skills**
- AI/LLM solutions integration.
- Exposure to regulated industries beyond finance.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional (preferred).
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar (preferred).
- Additional certifications in DevOps, security, or cloud architecture are advantageous.
