Job Description
**Job Title:** Cybersecurity Analyst **Role Summary:** Analyze security alerts, investigate incidents, and manage vulnerability lifecycle to protect enterprise assets. Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and leadership to prioritize remediation, optimize detection systems, and continually improve security operations. **Expectations:** Deliver timely, clear communication of findings; maintain high alert accuracy; coordinate remediation; advance tool capabilities; support data protection and hardening initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** - Monitor and triage alerts from enterprise detection and monitoring platforms. - Investigate alerts to determine legitimacy, root cause, and business relevance; distinguish true threats from false positives. - Document findings and communicate results via established collaboration channels. - Assist in tuning alert rules and configuration to improve accuracy and reduce noise. - Review vulnerabilities from scanning and endpoint protection systems; summarize and prioritize findings. - Coordinate remediation plans with infrastructure teams, track progress, and report status. - Proactively share observations on emerging risks and improvement opportunities. - Support the administration of data loss prevention (DLP) policies and information protection measures. - Participate in system hardening, baseline reviews, and documentation of playbooks. **Required Skills** - 3–5 years of experience in security operations, vulnerability management, or endpoint protection analysis. - Strong analytical and investigative abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to keep stakeholders informed and drive discussions. - Proficiency with enterprise detection platforms, endpoint protection tools, and vulnerability scanners. - Understanding of CVE analysis, remediation coordination, and risk prioritization. - Knowledge of Active Directory, group policies, and configuration baselines is a plus. - Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Power BI, etc.) is desirable. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Cybersecurity or cloud security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH) are welcome but not mandatory.
