Job title: Staff Machine Learning Engineer
Role Summary: Senior, end‑to‑end AI engineer responsible for designing, building, and deploying production AI systems in automotive software. Focus on large‑scale solutions involving LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, time‑series analysis, computer vision, and classical ML, with strong emphasis on reliability and scalability.
Expections: • 7+ years in ML/AI engineering or applied AI. • Deep expertise across multiple AI domains (LLM, CV, time‑series, classical ML). • Proven track record of fine‑tuning large models and producing production‑ready services. • Ability to turn extensive datasets into scalable AI products. • Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and communication.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead design, development, and deployment of AI models and services end‑to‑end.
• Build and maintain retrieval pipelines and vector search systems (FAISS, HNSW, Chroma, Elasticsearch).
• Fine‑tune and optimize large LLMs for domain‑specific use cases.
• Develop and support pipelines for time‑series forecasting, computer vision inference, and classical ML workflows.
• Convert raw telemetry and sensor data into structured datasets and production AI solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineering, platform, and product teams to deliver scalable, production‑grade AI systems.
• Implement parallelization, distributed training, and efficient inference strategies.
• Ensure robust software engineering practices, CI/CD, testing, and documentation.
Required Skills: • Proficiency in Python (PyTorch, Scikit‑learn, Pandas, etc.) or C++.
• Experience with modern AI stacks – LLMs, RAG architectures, retrieval, and agent‑style systems.
• Knowledge of vector databases (FAISS, HNSW, Chroma) and query engines (Elasticsearch).
• Data engineering tools: Spark, Databricks, Dataflow, and SQL for large‑scale data processing.
• Parallel computing, distributed training, and deployment on cloud or edge platforms.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, testing, and code reviews.
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Relevant ML/AI certifications (e.g., TensorFlow Developer, AWS AI/ML Specialty, or equivalent) are a plus.
Strong Plus: • Automotive, mobility, embedded, or edge AI experience. • Experience building AI solutions for safety‑critical or large‑scale production systems.
