Job Description
Job Title: Software Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain mission‑critical software solutions for a national security client. Work with a cross‑functional team to translate user requirements into robust code across Windows and Unix platforms. Expectations: * U.S. government security clearance, background check, and polygraph required. * Ability to work in a highly regulated, mission‑critical environment. Key Responsibilities: * Analyze user requirements and document functional specifications. * Design, code, and test new and existing applications in Java, C, C++, and Python. * Refactor and extend legacy code to add new features and improve performance. * Collaborate with DevOps and system engineering teams to support continuous integration, deployment, and infrastructure automation. * Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner. Required Skills: * Strong proficiency in Java, C, C++, Python. * Experience developing on Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems. * Familiarity with software build and release tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle). * Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and artifact repositories (Artifactory). * Understanding of infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer). Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. * Current U.S. government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph.
