Job Description
**Job Title:** Solutions Engineer, Mid Market **Role Summary:** Serve as the technical pre‑sales partner for Mid Market accounts, collaborating with Account Executives to design and deliver tailored product demonstrations, translate customer challenges into actionable solutions, and influence buying decisions. Act as a trusted advisor across technical and business stakeholders while driving alignment between Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success. **Expectations:** - Minimum 3 years in a customer‑facing pre‑sales or solutions engineering role targeting Mid Market or similar segments. - Proven ability to travel 40‑50 % of the time for on‑site engagements and installations. - Strong business acumen and communication skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. - Ability to operate within value‑based selling frameworks (e.g., MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Command of the Message). **Key Responsibilities:** - Partner with Mid Market Account Executives to shape deal strategy, lead discovery calls, and conduct high‑impact demos. - Build customized demonstrations that address technical, operational, and business objectives. - Map customer pain points to Motive’s platform, presenting measurable ROI and business outcomes. - Maintain deep knowledge of competitive landscape and support displacement and growth opportunities. - Serve as product authority, staying current on platform capabilities and upcoming innovations. - Contribute to RFIs/RFPs, positioning Motive as the preferred solution provider. - Liaise between Sales and cross‑functional teams (Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing) to relay customer insights and drive product enhancements. **Required Skills:** - SaaS and/or hardware solution selling experience. - Proficiency with APIs, system integrations, and technical solution design. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to adapt messaging for technical and non‑technical audiences. - Familiarity with pre‑sales methodologies and value‑based selling frameworks. - Ability to manage complex sales cycles and navigate Mid Market dynamics. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree considered a plus. - No specific certifications required, but relevant technical or sales certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified ScrumMaster) are advantageous.
