**Job title**
EDI/SAP Consultant
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, implementation, and operational support of EDI Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) flows within SAP environments (ECC & S/4HANA). Act as the primary liaison between business units, technical teams, and external partners to ensure high‑quality, high‑performance EDI exchanges.
**Expectations**
- Minimum of 5 years managing EDI projects, preferably with SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
- Deep understanding of O2C processes, EDIFACT/OpenText standards, IDOCs, APIs, JSON, and integration architectures.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross‑functional projects, manage stakeholder relationships, and communicate effectively at all levels.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Define business requirements and design technical solutions for new or evolving EDI flows.
2. Coordinate and drive EDI projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
3. Maintain functional and technical specifications, including detailed EDI mappings.
4. Manage relationships with clients, 3PLs, WMS, transport providers, and tracking tools.
5. Serve as the main point of contact for SAP/ABAP, TMA, infra, and external EDI vendors.
6. Conduct risk assessment, enforce quality standards, and ensure on‑time delivery.
7. Provide Level 2/3 support: troubleshoot IDOC (ECC), API/JSON (S/4), and EDI file incidents.
8. Proactively identify recurring issues, devise action plans, and implement sustainable solutions.
9. Produce and present reports and dashboards for management and business teams.
10. Mentor internal staff, develop training materials, and maintain project documentation.
11. Remediate legacy ECC EDI flows and lead migration to S/4HANA (IDOC → API).
**Required Skills**
- EDI architecture (IDOC, API, JSON, FTP, EDI files).
- SAP ECC and S/4HANA integration, including IDOC handling and API development.
- EDIFACT/OpenText standards and mapping techniques.
- O2C process knowledge (orders, credit, invoicing, cash application).
- Project coordination, risk management, stakeholder engagement.
- Functional and technical analysis, requirement documentation.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- SAP certifications in EDI, IDOCs, or S/4HANA (preferred).
