Job title: Systems Verification and Validation (V&V) Specialist
Role Summary:
Lead end‑to‑end verification and validation for spacecraft systems, defining test strategies, developing automated test scripts, and ensuring requirement closure through functional, electrical, and environmental testing.
Expactations:
* Deliver complete V&V coverage for multiple satellite programs.
* Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
* Coordinate cross‑functional activities with engineering, flight ops, and launch teams.
* Travel as needed for ground and launch site testing; work shift/weekend schedules during critical campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and implement V&V strategies, including test plans, matrices, and closure tracking.
* Design, develop, and maintain automated test architectures using Python and CI/CD pipelines.
* Build and sustain V&V infrastructure: hardware‑in‑the‑loop setups, flight‑representative prototypes, and simulation rigs.
* Lead functional/electrical test procedures aligned with system requirements.
* Conduct environmental test campaigns (EMI/EMC, vibration, TVAC) and own procedure development and execution.
* Support launch integration and validation activities, contributing to site planning.
* Operate and train teams on advanced lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power meters, VNAs, solar simulators).
* Participate in design reviews, providing technical input on test strategies.
* Author test documentation, reports, and deliverables for stakeholders and partners.
Required Skills:
* 5+ years experience in system testing, validation, or systems engineering (Master’s may substitute for 2 years).
* Expert in developing automated test scripts and software‑based verification environments.
* Proficiency with test equipment: oscilloscopes, DMMs, power meters, VNAs, etc.
* Strong scripting in Python and familiarity with GitLab CI/CD or equivalent.
* Ability to analyze performance data and validate against mission specifications.
* Excellent communication and mentorship skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Computer, Software Engineering, or related field.
* Certifications such as CDT, CSTE, or PE are a plus.
