Job Description
Job title: Business Intelligence Developer Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain analytics and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to support Girl Guides of Canada’s digital transformation and data‑driven decision‑making. Expectations: - 12‑month remote contract. - Deliver scalable, intuitive BI solutions that are aligned with business priorities. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders to define requirements and validate data. - Contribute to enterprise data strategy, governance, and data center of excellence initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models. - Develop and optimize ETL pipelines with Microsoft Fabric and related components. - Perform data migration, validation, and reconciliation for legacy and future‑state models. - Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency through validation and cleansing. - Manage metadata, business definitions, and data governance documentation. - Integrate data from CRM, inventory, accounting, and member portals into analytics solutions. - Provide self‑service analytics support, training, and guidance to business users. - Stay current with BI and Microsoft technology advances and recommend enhancements. Required Skills: - 3+ years developing BI solutions with Microsoft Power BI. - Strong SQL and ETL design experience. - Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric (or equivalent data platform). - Knowledge of data modeling, governance, quality, and privacy standards. - Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. - Creative problem‑solving, collaborative mindset, and detail‑orientation. Required Education & Certifications: - Post‑secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
