**Job title**
Senior DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary**
Drive enterprise‑scale containerization and cloud migration initiatives, building and maintaining Kubernetes‑based infrastructures. Lead architecture discussions, collaborate with development and operations teams, and ensure high availability, scalability, security, and compliance across hybrid cloud environments.
**Expectations**
- 5+ years of DevOps or related engineering experience.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional projects.
- Strong command of AWS and/or Azure enterprise deployments.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes administration and service mesh technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and document Kubernetes architectures that scale globally.
- Partner with developers, cloud providers, and stakeholders to devise cloud adoption and migration strategies.
- Lead architecture reviews to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Build and maintain highly available, scalable services following industry best practices.
- Resolve integration challenges with developers, operations, and vendors.
- Recommend tooling, create proof‑of‑concepts, and advocate best practices.
- Decompose complex systems into manageable, team‑owned subsystems.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation; manage version control in Git.
**Required Skills**
- Kubernetes installation, management, and troubleshooting (CKA or equivalent preferred).
- Experience with a service mesh (Istio, Consul, etc.).
- Linux systems administration; support of services such as Redis, ElasticSearch.
- Logging, monitoring, and alerting with Prometheus, Alertmanager, etc.
- Programming in Python, Go, JavaScript, or Ruby.
- Security hardening knowledge for compliance frameworks (CIS Benchmark, etc.).
- Enterprise‑level cloud design in AWS and/or Azure.
- CI/CD process design and tool implementation.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
- Preferred certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Certified Engineer.
