LSI, Inc. was founded as Logistic Services International in 1978 by two former Naval Officers to support the aviation and training needs of foreign militaries operating U.S. Navy aircraft and systems. For over 40 years, LSI, Inc. has supported a customer base that includes the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security, foreign militaries, and the largest military aircraft manufacturing and defense companies in the world. In 2006, the founders sold LSI, Inc. to the employees, making LSI, Inc. a 100% employee-owned company.

Our Location
The LSI, Inc. Headquarters are located on Cecil Airport in Jacksonville, FL. These facilities are located on the flight line with two hangars with ramp and runway access. LSI's manufacturing facility is state-of-the-art and produces full scale training devices for both domestic and foreign customers.

Job Description
**Job Title** Software Engineer II **Role Summary** Design, develop, and maintain real‑time simulation software using Unreal Engine/Game Engine technology. Collaborate with hardware teams, debug complex issues, and deliver performance‑optimized solutions on UNIX/Linux platforms. **Expectations** - Self‑motivated and capable of learning new tools quickly. - Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. - Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. - Comfortable creating and presenting technical information (optional bonus). - Willing to travel up to 25% of the time. **Key Responsibilities** - Write, test, and ship high‑quality C++/C code for real‑time simulation applications. - Leverage Unreal Engine or similar game engines to build interactive simulation environments. - Interface with hardware components, ensuring seamless integration with simulation software. - Use MS Visual Studio, OpenGL, and related tools for development and debugging. - Detect and resolve performance bottlenecks and software defects. - Create technical documentation, status reports, and occasional presentations to stakeholders. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including art, physics, and hardware engineers. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in C++ and/or C. - Experience with Unreal Engine or other game engines (required). - Knowledge of real‑time simulation concepts and practices. - Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems. - Experience with MS Visual Studio and OpenGL is preferred. - Strong software diagnostic and problem‑solving skills. - Excellent communication and presentation abilities (preferred). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field **and** at least 2 years of relevant experience; **or** - High school diploma or equivalent **and** at least 5 years of programming/engineering experience.
