Job Description

Job Title: Network Architect Role Summary: Design and oversee end‑to‑end network architecture for large‑scale, high‑availability or classified environments. Provide strategic technical leadership, governance, and documentation for secure network solutions. Expectations: 6‑10+ years in network architecture and design; advanced knowledge of network protocols and secure design principles; expertise with Cisco routing/switching, Aruba, and Palo Alto solutions; hold or be eligible for SC Security Clearance. Must produce high‑level architectural plans, lead design discussions, and ensure compliance with security and scalability requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Lead architecture and design of complex, secure network solutions. • Define and document high‑level network designs for enterprise clients. • Architect LAN/WAN infrastructure with secure, scalable configurations. • Lead technical design discussions and enforce architectural governance. • Design and integrate Cisco networks and Palo Alto firewalls in new and existing estates. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align solutions with business and security objectives. Required Skills: • Network architecture and design (LAN/WAN, VPN, SD‑WAN). • Secure network design (firewalls, segmentation, zero‑trust concepts). • Proficiency with Cisco routing/switching, Aruba wireless, Palo Alto firewalls. • Strong documentation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to lead design reviews and architectural governance. Required Education & Certifications: • CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent. • SC Security Clearance (must hold or be eligible).
