Job Description: **Job title:** Storage Engineer **Role Summary:** Support and maintain enterprise storage infrastructure—including SAN, NAS, and backup systems—in a high‑availability, low‑latency banking environment. Diagnose and resolve complex storage issues, manage incidents and problems in line with ITIL practices, and assist with storage projects such as migrations, deployments, and firmware upgrades. Leverage automation and scripting tools to streamline operations and improve reliability. **Expactations:** - 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise storage. - Deep knowledge of SAN/NAS and backup technologies used in banking. - Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance and availability incidents. - Strong communication with operations teams, vendors, and customers. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Operate and troubleshoot SAN (FC/ iSCSI) and NAS systems, including LUN provisioning, zoning, and multipathing. 2. Manage backup infrastructure (Commvault, NetBackup, Rubrik) and related storage provisioning. 3. Conduct proactive incident and problem management, following ITIL processes. 4. Support project activities: storage deployment, migration, firmware and software upgrades, capacity planning. 5. Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve efficiency. 6. Document solutions, maintenance procedures, and disaster‑recovery plans. 7. Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues. **Required Skills:** - Enterprise storage platforms: EMC, NetApp, PureStorage or equivalent. - Fiber Channel, iSCSI, multipathing, zoning, LUN management. - Backup systems: Commvault, NetBackup, Rubrik. - Troubleshooting in high‑availability environments. - ITIL‑aligned incident/problem management. - Automation/scripting: PowerShell, Python. - Strong written and verbal communication. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant storage certifications preferred: VCP (EMC, NetApp, Pure), A+ (CompTIA), or ITIL Foundation.
