Job Description: **Job Title:** Lead Backend Developer **Role Summary:** Lead the design, development, and maintenance of a cloud‑native, high‑performance backend platform for a next‑generation business travel booking solution. Drive architectural decisions, ensure code quality, and mentor the development team while managing infrastructure as code. **Expectations:** - Deliver robust, scalable REST APIs using Node.js/TypeScript. - Own the end‑to‑end backend architecture and cloud infrastructure (AWS). - Promote best practices in testing, CI/CD, and containerization. - Act autonomously, proactively solve problems, and maintain rigorous standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement performant REST APIs (Express or Fastify). - Build and evolve cloud‑native backend architecture (AWS, Terraform). - Write and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code scripts (Terraform). - Create and optimize Docker images (multi‑stage builds, security). - Establish and enforce development standards: unit/integration tests, code quality tools, CI/CD pipelines. - Ensure consistency and stability across development, staging, and production environments. - Collaborate with frontend (Angular/Capacitor) and database (MongoDB) teams. - Mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions. **Required Skills:** - Expert in Node.js and TypeScript with production experience. - Strong background in designing REST APIs (Express/Fastify). - Advanced debugging and performance optimization abilities. - Proficient with AWS services and cloud concepts. - Hands‑on experience with Terraform and Docker/container best practices. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). - Knowledge of MongoDB; optional experience with Redis. - Autonomous, proactive, and detail‑oriented mindset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Terraform Associate) are a plus but not mandatory.
