Job Description
Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer Role Summary: Provide tier‑1 and tier‑2 desktop support for end users, handling incidents, service requests, and near‑desk assistance across workstations, laptops, tablets, and network‑attached devices. Deliver on‑site and remote support, including mobile and AV setups, while maintaining performance standards and SLAs. Expectations: • Minimum 3 years Windows desktop support experience. • Strong knowledge of Windows 7‑10, Active Directory, GPOs, Office 365, and enterprise antivirus. • Ability to use ServiceNow, GenAI bots, and predictive diagnostics. • Skilled in mobile device management (iOS & Android) and enterprise encryption. • Provide VIP support for specialized applications (e.g., Reuters). • Excellent communication, multi‑tasking, and vendor coordination. Key Responsibilities: • Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests via ticketing system. • Perform daily health checks on end‑user and network‑attached devices. • Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, projectors, and meeting‑room AV equipment. • Configure and manage mobile devices and associated MDM solutions. • Conduct on‑site and remote support for executives, ensuring seamless workflows. • Document solutions and update knowledge base. • Meet or exceed defined SLA targets. Required Skills: • Windows operating systems (7‑10) and Active Directory administration. • Group Policy Object management. • Microsoft 365 and Office suite support. • PC hardware installation, repair, and troubleshooting. • Enterprise antivirus and endpoint protection. • ServiceNow or similar ITSM tool proficiency. • Mobile device management (iOS, Android). • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and vendor‑management skills. • Clear verbal and written communication. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Required Education & Certifications: • Minimum 2–3 years of proven desktop support experience. • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent are desirable.
