**Job title:** Android Developer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Android applications as part of a hybrid contract team. Collaborate with cross‑functional partners (Research, Engineering, UI/UX) to deliver feature‑rich, reusable components that integrate with back‑end platforms and meet stakeholder requirements. **Expectations:** - Long‑term contract role (W2, USA‑eligible). - Hybrid work model (in‑office and remote). - Deliver code that is maintainable, testable, and documented. **Key Responsibilities:** - Translate design prototypes into functional Android UI. - Build reusable software components and APIs for seamless back‑end integration. - Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested Java/Kotlin code. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to finalize product requirements and refine user experiences. - Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. **Required Skills:** - Android development: Java or Kotlin with Android SDK. - UI implementation using modern Android techniques (Android Jetpack, ConstraintLayout, Material Design). - Strong foundations in software engineering: modular design, version control, unit testing (JUnit/Mokito), and API design. - Backend integration experience (REST, WebSocket, Firebase, etc.). - Proficiency in Python (for tooling/support). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Valid U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship required).
