Job Title: Service Manager (Databricks)
Role Summary:
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of managed IT services for a portfolio of clients, ensuring high client satisfaction, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Bridge technical teams with senior stakeholders, align service delivery with business objectives, and drive governance and risk compliance.
Expactations:
- Deliver measurable quality and satisfaction outcomes aligned with client business goals.
- Maintain service excellence, operational maturity, and regulatory compliance.
- Achieve agreed budget, timeline, and performance targets for all service engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own client satisfaction; act as the primary customer advocate and strategic advisor.
- Conduct executive and service reviews, present technology roadmaps, budgets, and performance reports.
- Identify, communicate, and remediate compliance, cyber‑security, and risk issues across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Lead, mentor, and support engineering, support, and operations teams; provide technical guidance for complex incidents.
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Manage vendor contracts and third‑party performance.
- Build cross‑functional partnerships with Legal, Operations, Risk, and Audit groups.
- Drive process automation, workflow optimization, and technology adoption to improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date documentation (service processes, policies, runbooks, procedures).
Required Skills:
- 10+ years in Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT consulting roles.
- Deep technical expertise in applications, infrastructure, and multi‑cloud (Databricks) environments.
- Proven experience in large‑scale production support and major incident management.
- Strong project management skills: planning, budgeting, resource allocation, delivery oversight.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation) with non‑technical and executive stakeholders.
- Analytical, structured problem‑solving, proactive, and resilient under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities and adapt to changing demands.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science or related technical discipline strongly preferred).
