Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Sales Executive – Europe **Role Summary:** Lead enterprise-level sales for a portfolio of data‑integration and analysis software solutions within the pharmaceutical, drug discovery, and life‑science sectors across Europe. The role focuses on cultivating and expanding strategic accounts, driving new logo acquisition, and ensuring high contractual value and renewal rates by partnering closely with cross‑functional teams. **Expectations:** - Grow a robust sales pipeline, targeting a 5× volume of current bookings. - Identify and secure new revenue streams via cross‑sell, upsell, and market‑whitespace initiatives. - Maintain high‑quality records in Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. - Deliver consistent account health metrics (QBRs, renewal rates, net‑new business) to senior leadership. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prospect, negotiate, and close deals with large enterprise pharmaceutical and life‑science clients. - Manage key strategic accounts, overseeing cross‑sell/upsell opportunities, quarterly business reviews, and overall account growth. - Collaborate with Revenue Operations to create and submit sales bookings and forecasts. - Work with Sales Solution Engineers and Product Management to present technical solutions and build market tactics. - Liaise with Operations to align delivery expectations and ensure project success. - Attend industry tradeshows, client visits, and internal sales meetings; share best practices quarterly. - Uphold company quality and security standards in all sales activities. - Maintain CRM and customer touchpoint records accurately and in a timely manner. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 5–7 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, drug discovery, or life‑science research & development sectors. - Proven track record in new‑logo acquisition, strategic account management, and business development. - Strong proficiency in Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM. - Excellent presentation, negotiation, and demonstration skills. - Ability to understand and articulate product specifications, service scope, and regulatory considerations. - Solid understanding of cross‑sell and upsell strategies within enterprise B2B environments. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build lasting relationships. - Proficient with Windows/PC applications; comfortable working in larger, global teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. - Relevant sales or product‑management certifications a plus (e.g., Certified Professional Sales Person – CPSP, or similar).
