**Job title:** Data Science Intern (Summer 2026)
**Role Summary:**
Intern will design, develop, and deploy data analytics and AI solutions, focusing on machine learning models and containerized applications for Kubernetes. Responsibilities include data processing, model implementation, LLM integration, UI prototyping, and performance monitoring to advance the organization’s data‑driven initiatives.
**Expectations:**
• Complete coursework or degree requirements in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaborate cross‑functionally.
• Produce deliverables that meet quality, scalability, and reliability standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Process and analyze complex datasets from diverse sources to extract actionable business insights.
- Build, test, and deploy machine‑learning models into production environments.
- Design and deploy containerized applications to Kubernetes clusters, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Integrate and fine‑tune Large Language Models (LLMs) for product features.
- Troubleshoot issues in AI pipelines, ML models, and supporting platforms.
- Develop UI prototypes using Streamlit or similar frameworks for stakeholder feedback.
- Monitor system performance, log metrics, and conduct post‑deployment analysis.
- Keep current on AI, data science, and cloud computing best practices and emerging technologies.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in Python (data analysis, modeling, automation).
- Experience with machine‑learning libraries (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of LLM concepts and practical application in product development.
- Containerization experience (Docker) and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Ability to write clear documentation and communicate technical ideas to non‑technical audiences.
- Self‑starter with strong problem‑solving and collaborative mindset.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or higher degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (or an associate degree with equivalent experience).
- No specific certifications required, but knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
