**Job Title**
Civil Engineering Project Manager – Operations
**Role Summary**
Lead the operational execution of large civil engineering projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical, safety and quality standards. Oversee on‑site activities, contract administration, stakeholder coordination, and reporting for major infrastructure and structural works.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a construction management or site supervision professional.
- Proven ability to manage multifaceted civil projects from inception to handover.
- Strong command of French health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent planning, analytical, and leadership skills, with a collaborative team orientation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate as the primary on‑site engineer for major infrastructure and structural works (e.g., waterway channels, port projects, highway expansions).
- Monitor and control daily construction activities, schedule adherence, and resource allocation.
- Manage contracts, amendments, and invoicing; handle claims, progress payments, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews: procedures, materials, technical interfaces, and compliance audits.
- Coordinate all project stakeholders: contractors, subcontractors, external inspectors, and design teams.
- Facilitate and present progress meetings, status reports, and official project handover documentation.
- Participate in Request for Proposals (RFP) preparation and bid evaluation.
**Required Skills**
- Civil engineering technical expertise in linear infrastructures, structural elements, and civil works.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and financial tracking.
- Familiarity with French regulatory framework (HQSE—Health, Safety, Quality, Environment).
- Strong written and verbal communication, including report writing and presentation.
- Leadership capability to manage cross‑functional teams on site and on client premises.
- Detail‑oriented, analytical mindset, and problem‑solving aptitude.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Engineering degree or equivalent (Bac+5) in Public Works, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- Professional certification in construction project management preferred (e.g., PMP, CAPM, or French “Ingénieur” status).
